Recreation center of Karmadon

Balneological health resort Karmadon is located in a beautiful corner of North Ossetia, in the valley of the river Genaldon. It stands on the slope of mount Kazbek and is not the first century with its beauty attracts many tourists and people wanting to improve their health. Since the mid-nineteenth century, the famous healing mineral springs Karmadonskom gorges, and from 1962 worked here a sanatorium. Unfortunately, later the village acquired a sad fame in 2002 in the gorge, there was a tragic descent of a glacier, which killed more than 100 people, and since then stay at the resort Karmadon has become less popular. However, in recent years, the village is being rebuilt, acquires new infrastructure and continues to receive tourists. The gorge has lost none of its beauty, and regularly come here with tours. And the water Karmadon still highly valued and actively used for therapeutic drinking, bathing and irrigation.
