Recreation centers of the Matri-yarvi lake

Lake Matri-yarvi is located in a picturesque corner of the Karelia Republic, just 20 km from the city of lakhdenpokhya, just 1.5 km from the border with Finland. Since this place is a border area, tourists during the holidays on lake Matri-yarvi must carry documents and the pass. This pond has a highly elongated shape, beautiful wooded shores and a relatively small surface area of about 3.5 sq. km. It will appeal to people who love Karelian nature, relaxing stay on the beach, boat trips and swimming in the clear cool water. Local hostels also rent bikes and in winter sledges, skates and skis. Guests can enjoy excursions to interesting places in Karelia and horseback riding, and fishing. In the waters of the Matri-yarvi in sufficient quantities dwells pike, roach, ruff and perch.
