Recreation centers of the Imandra lake

Lake Imandra is one of the largest in Russia – its area exceeds 800 kV.km. It has more than one hundred Islands, the largest of which Hermas, and on the lake is the town of Monchegorsk and several small settlements. Every year in April on the frozen lake is the winter marathon race under sail, with the participation of the people of Russia and abroad. In the summertime among those who spend holidays on the Imandra lake, a popular water boating and boatsas well as fishing. In the waters of the lake there are pike, perch, carp, smelt and other fish species.
