Recreation centers of the Matkozero (Matko) lake

Lake Macasero is situated on the border of two districts of Karelia, Segezha and Medvezh, over a wide area of 45 sq. km On the surface of the lake more than one hundred Islands, located mostly in its Eastern part. Macasero included in the waters of the white sea-Baltic canal, in its southern part is the 8-th gateway (only on channel 19) and on the banks of the eponymous village of lock No. 8.
