The Vilga river flows near Petrozavodsk in territory of Prionezhsky region of Karelia, stretching for about 26 km in length. It carries its waters to the North, mainly through uninhabited terrain, and then flows into a larger river Shuya. Bank Wilga mostly covered by forest, they located only one village, also called Wilga, and garden-plots. Holidays on the river Vilga, mainly popular with local residents and includes a quiet camping or fishing. In river waters, you can catch grayling and trout, pike and burbot, and experienced fishermen say that the spring in the river comes, even salmon. Lovers of solitude can stay with a tent in the woods, and for those who prefer the comfort, in the village of Vilga has a roadside hotel, conveniently located near highways.
