Guest house "Art-residence HOMESTEAD of Lars Sonka" since 2000 is the current architectural monument of national importance. The house was built in 1914 by the famous Finnish architect Lars Sonka. The house has all the necessary amenities for living: heating (stove and electric), water, toilet, shower, kitchen, cooking utensils, kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. The house is inhabited all year round.
The house towers above the village of kurkieki and stands on the hill of Anderson, around the estate are unique old-growth trees (larch (about 180 years), balsam fir (120 years), Siberian cedar (about 120 years). The area is a three-level plot of about 1 Ha, in front of the site runs the glacial river Rahmaniac (the"cash river" in Finnish). Opposite is the mountain Linnavuori (fortress mountain in translation from Finnish), which in ancient times was situated the fortress of the ancient Karelians.
Room fund
For accommodation there are three rooms-the room. Two of them are on the first floor, each can accommodate up to 5 people (couples or Semite). In rooms with three beds – one large double 160x200, one Queen-size and sofa-book. There is also a single room on the second floor with one large double bed 160x200. Each room has its own stove, only them in the house 11 pieces.
Infrastructure
There are two spacious rooms: a living room with TV, music and Internet and a dining room with large table for 14 people. Shower facilities are in the house and on the street.
Nearby in the village shops: grocery, manufactured goods, construction, goods for anglers/hunters and a mini-market, pharmacy, post office. In stores that accept the card, the ATM was missing.
