Kurshskiy gulf

Geographically, the Curonian lagoon belongs to two countries: mainly Russia and partly Lithuania. Refers to the Baltic sea and has an area of 1610 km2. The average depth of the Bay is 3.7 m.

A favorite destination of tourists is the Peninsula of the Curonian spit separating the Bay from the Baltic sea. Long sandy beaches, pleasant climate, interaction with nature and the animal world – is not a complete list of what may attract the Curonian lagoon. On the Peninsula built many camp sites, offering a wide range of services of leisure and recreation.

Hunters and anglers will certainly find something to do: the Bay is renowned for fish and waterfowl. It is home to pike, carp, roach, Rudd, cod, with the Baltic waters this fall, and lamprey, whitefish, salmon. Every year in the Gulf of firing individuals coots, geese and ducks.
