Pskovskoe lake

Pskovskoe lake stretches 20 km from Pskov, on the border of Russia and Estonia. It is part of the scenic lake Peipus lake complex and has a vast area of 709 sq. km., which is home to several small Islands. The most famous of these are Talab, popular with pilgrims and tourists who are looking for peace and privacy. Along the lake coast there is a village, camp sites, guest houses and sandy beaches, and love to entertain visitors and local residents. The average water depth is only 3 meters, which allows the lake to warm up well and actively used for swimming. In many places access to water is difficult because of mud and dense aquatic vegetation.
