Trubegh river

The Trubezh river slowly carries its waters through the territory of the Yaroslavl region, stretching for 36 km in length. It originates in Berendeevo swamp and at the end of its path flows into lake Pleshcheyevo. During the 30-50-ies of XX century, the Trubezh was a deep river and was famous for its abundance of fish, but in subsequent years, is very shallow: it was promoted by the draining of the nearby wetlands and the General environmental situation. Currently, the Bank of the Trubezh you can meet mostly locals and tourists who come to see the ancient town of Pereslavl-Zalessky, located at the confluence of the river into lake Pleshcheyevo.
