Meglino lake

Lake Meglino is situated on the South-East of the Novgorod region, near the border with the Tver region. It is included in the list of lakes of glacial origin and is the largest in these parts. The area of the lake is quite large – about 24 sq km and its average depth is 7.5 meters. The place is pretty quiet, located away from cities and suitable for a peaceful country break. On the shores of lakes are only a small village, and the coast quite picturesque in some places steep, sometimes shallow, covered with sand or pebbles. The bottom is sandy and comfortable enough for swimming. However, most often rest on the lake Meglino devote to fishing, as it not only promises a rich haul, but also gives the opportunity to catch trophy fish. Most often it catches carp, perch, crucian carp and ruff, and also there are catfish and carp. Lives in the lake and predatory fish, but in smaller quantities.
