Vyshnevolockoe vodohranilische reservoir

Vyshnevolotsky reservoir is situated on the territory of the Tver region, covering an area of over 100 sq. km., It was established in the XVIII century by Peter I, who wished to link the Volga and the Baltic sea, and later, in 1940-ies, it is equipped with a newly-Tveretskogo HPP. On the surface of the reservoir many Islands, which gives it even more picturesque, and on the banks were several villages and the town of Vyshny Volochyok. The pond is quite clean and actively used for business purposes, but also suitable for country leisure and tourism. During the holidays the second regional Congress you can spend time on the beach, boating or doing other water sports, and fishing. In the pond there is pike, perch, bream, burbot and some other species, and fishing is possible both in summer and in winter.
