Sity river

The Sit river has a length of nearly 160 km and consists of two regions – the Tver and Yaroslavl. Its source is on the territory of Tver – in swampland near the village of Saburovo. The upper course of the river lies mainly in the forests and swamps, in the middle reaches, it becomes a high steep banks and becomes more picturesque. However, the rest on the river Sit is focused mainly in its lower reaches, closer to the place where it flows into the Rybinsk reservoir, on the territory of Yaroslavl region. It will be interesting to fans of history, because these places are associated with historical events and ancient settlements: long on the banks of the river settled ethnic peoples, and in the XIII century it was a battle with the Mongols. In addition, the river is popular among water tourists, because it is quite an interesting place and a lot of fast rapids. And fishermen will appreciate the presence of pike and perch, as well as an abundance of roach, bleak and Chub.
