Ghizdra river

The Zhizdra river flows through the territory of the Kaluga region, stretching for more than 220 km in length. It originates in the swamps, and then flows through the upland and at the end of its path flows into the Oka river. On the banks of the Zhizdra is the same city, and the towns of Przemysl and Kozelsk. The most famous attraction of these places is the ancient monastery of Optina Pustyn, where every year attracts many tourists and pilgrims.
