Glubochinskiy prud pond

Glubokinsky pond lies in a picturesque corner of the Sverdlovsk region, approximately 10 km from the city of Polevskoy. It is a vast reservoir with an area of 1.28 sq. km, formed in the late nineteenth century for industrial purposes. Today Glubokinsky pond used for water supply of the city, and is also one of the purest waters of the southern part of the Urals and included in the list of unique monuments of nature. Its banks are covered with coniferous forest with spruce, fir, varied with berries and mushrooms, and from the South and West rise the mountains Ufaley ridge. The whole area of the pond and its surrounding area is surprisingly beautiful and attracts many lovers of nature, the Ural coloring, camping, and just people interested in history.
