Volhov river

The Volkhov river flows through the territory of the Leningrad and Novgorod regions and is ranked among the largest rivers of Russia: its length exceeds 200 km. It is the only river which flows from lake Ilmen. Camp sites on the river Volkhov enough: residents of large cities like to come here to enjoy the tranquility and solitude of these places and beauty of the surrounding forest. Along the Volkhov river often hosts alloys, though it and is not fast flowing and the presence of sharp turns. The least popular form of recreation on the river Volkhov is fishing: the river is home to pike, walleye, perch and other fish species.
