Balahanovskoe (Torhon-yarvi) lake

Lake Balakhanovskoe, or Torchon-yarvi, covers an area of over 15 sq. km in Priozersk district of Leningrad region. It is picturesque, covered with a mixed forest of coast, several Islands and quite a decent depth – about 10 meters. Near the lake are highways that makes it easy to get here by car and stay for a weekend or for a few days. Stay on the lake Balakhanovskoe can be done with a fishing rod, boating or just relaxing on the sandy beach. Here is home to roach, perch, ruff and bream, and occasionally pike, Rudd, tench, IDE and bream. Many tourists come here with tents to spend the time in solitude and admire the beautiful nature of the lake, and rafters, making water trips on the Vuoksi, have long chosen the Peninsula, which is called "Cape Friendship".
