Karakol river

The Karakol river flows in Chemal district of the Altai Republic and is a tributary of the major river Elekmonar. Length of Karakol is just 7 km. It begins at the confluence of the rivers Tura and Ogoi near Karakol lakes is an interesting and picturesque place in the upper reaches. These lakes are only 7, they are of glacial origin and are characterized by special beauty, so tourists should definitely visit. Basically, stay on the river Karakol can be a companion when you visit the Katun and the Altai as a whole. On the shore of Karakol is the eponymous village, which has a tourism base.
