Krasnoselsky district

Krasnoselsky district is a relatively small area – less than 1000 sq km, and encompasses many small settlements. The largest of these is the village of Krasnoe-na-Volge, which was first mentioned in documents in the XVI century, and later became known for its actively developing jewelry business. Today the village also has a Jewelry Museum and the preserved white stone Church of the Epiphany of the XVI century. In addition to cultural programs, stay in Krasnoselsky district includes water trip on the river or walking along its shores that allow you to enjoy nature and to see more of the picturesque temple architecture. Also, there can be good fishing: rivers in the district are many, but the most popular is the Volga, inhabited by a large variety of fish.
